Description
Unlike many other herbicides, Fiesta Turf Weed Killer is entirely odorless and does not require very restrictive re-entry guidelines like other selective treatments (IE: to stay of the lawn for 24 hours or longer). Fiesta weed killer is absorbed by the plant’s tissue quickly and transported down to the root. It works through iron toxicity; as broadleaf weeds uptake and absorb iron differently than turf grass, the weeds are controlled while the grass is not affected.
Fiesta weed control works quickly, offering visible same-day results, even in cold weather. Best for spot treatment or broadcast application, Fiesta is a useful, patented product that will help grass look its best, even in restricted pesticide areas such as golf courses, parks, sports fields, cemeteries, and playgrounds. Fiesta Turf Weed Killer is ideal for lawn care where pesticide bans exist.

FIESTA is a selective broadleaf bio-herbicide that works quickly, even in cool weather and is rainfast in 3 hours.
This effective weed killer’s mode of action is to cause iron toxicity (oxidative damage) at the cellular level. Fiesta is quickly absorbed by the leaf tissue and transported down to the root. Toxicity of the contacted leaf tissue cells also occurs turning the leaves black or brown.
Broadleaf weeds (dicots) absorb more iron than grasses (monocots) which provides the mechanism of selectivity. For this reason, adequate coverage is important.

Greg Glandon –
I’ve been looking for a way to control weeds in my yard with a less toxic product. I’ve used vinegar and citric solutions, which kill the tops, but not the roots and was afraid Fiesta Turf would do the same job. It’s been three weeks since I sprayed and the weeds have not tried to come back. This product appears to be a great alternative to the more toxic weed killers on the market.

I have refused to use weed killers for years because of the adverse affects on animals. Pulling weeds by hand couldn’t keep up with the proliferation, so our yard was definitely not at its best. Using a gallon pump-sprayer, I gradually went over our half-acre, then repeated in a few weeks. Our main problem was dandelions, so I concentrated on those. Our lawn has never looked better! I assume that I’ll repeat the procedure in the fall, but that’s okay with me. Our yard is full of wild creatures and I know I’m not hurting them.

Best product I’ve used. Dandelions are black in 4 – 8 hrs. The clover in my yard is a bit persistent but weakening with each treatment. Kills other miscellaneous broad leaf weeds I have in my yard too. Highly recommend.

It works,… but does suppress the grass around the weeds for a very long time. It does not kill the grass, but noticeably darkens it towards a brown shade. The broadleaf and clover do turn black and wither away after a time but it does not get into the roots at all and everything comes back, within a month. For me the issue is that by the time you need to spray again, the grass hasn’t fully rebounded so you’ll end up with permanent brownish grassy areas. For a clover patch, that’s a considerable area. This is too expensive for what it doesn’t do.

This is my second purchase. So grateful for your product. I have a horrible weed infestation problem. I bought and applied compost in November was all weed seed not cured. To my dismay in the spring all of my flower beds and grass has been infected ever since . I have not eradicated it yet but hope to in the next few years. Thanks for this awesome product.
